DIY Wearable Weight


I learned that a tube sock can act as a great weight when filled with uncooked rice or beans and then tied off or sewn shut.  A child can wear it over the shoulders or on his/her lap for added proprioceptive input.  The beauty of this versatile invention is that it can easily be worn while in a variety of positions such as during table top work or while lying on the floor.  It can even be decorated and personalized for the child. :-)
